What is Manta Network?

Manta Network is a layer 1 blockchain built on Polkadot’s Substrate framework. Manta Network’s vision is to create a privacy smart contract platform, to achieve that, the project uses zk-SNARK to provide anonymity, high throughput, and cross-chain interoperability. Calamari Network is a Manta Network project deployed on Kusama, two projects with the same code base but deployed on two different chains:

Manta Network is deployed on Polkadot.
Calamari Network is deployed on Kusama.

Highlights of Manta Network (MANTA) & Calamari Network (KMA)

Since the 2 projects are one, the product range of Manta & Calamari is the same. The highlight of Manta Network is also the highlight of Calamari Network.

One of the highlights of all the project’s products is ANonymity. Existing DeFi is still better than traditional finance, but there are still some shortcomings such as security, access to new people (difficult to use), and scalability (high fees).

The project will solve the problem by minting anonymous assets pegged to real assets at a 1:1 ratio, then allowing them to be used in Manta & Calamari DeFi products.

Current products of Manta Network:

Decentralized Anonymous Payment (DAP) protocol: Based on zk-SNARK, it allows users to exchange tokens on Polkadot into Private tokens, then use them for payment, and redeem them back to original tokens.
Decentralized Anonymous Exchange (DAX) protocol: Users can anonymously trade private tokens on the exchange with each other. The exchange’s private token pricing method will be similar to traditional AMM.
